Birinus, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, enables the church to serve the wider public good, by playing a greater role in local neighbourhoods and communities.

“The Catholic Church now sees itself as working alongside and often in alliance with other bodies, secular and religious, state and voluntary, on behalf of the common good.”
The Common Good and the Catholic Church’s Social Teaching, Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, published 1996.
